pyspark.sql.functions.collate(col, collation)[source]#

Marks a given column with specified collation.

Added in version 4.0.0.

Parameters:

colColumn or str: Target string column to work on.
collationstr: Target collation name.

Returns:

Column: A new column of string type, where each value has the specified collation.
